Import PIMS Files

Select PIMS File from the Import menu in the Document group of the Home ribbon tab to open the PIMS Import Wizard. You may also press the View File button on any page of the wizard to launch Microsoft® Excel® with the source PIMS template file, to allow for easy comparison of the crudes being imported with their underlying measurements.

PIMS files may have a variable number of cuts and properties presented per crude oil. The wizard intelligently deduces which cuts and properties are present, and offers you the option to amend any which have been read incorrectly.

Tip: On any page of the wizard, standard copy and paste functionality is available from the right-click context menu, enabling you to copy and paste data into the fields. In addition, the state of any check box on any page may be toggled by pressing the space bar.
