When multiple crudes have been selected for export in Assay, the Export Options dialog opens, in which you can configure both a destination format and report name template, as described in the sections below. Once you have configured the required options, click Export to export the selected range of crudes, or Cancel to cancel the operation.
Destination format
Multiple crudes can be exported in Assay as either a single file comprising multiple crudes, or as multiple files, each of which consists of a single crude. You can select the type of export required using the Destination option buttons. The following options are available:

Single File: Select this option to have all the reports for your selected crudes combined into a single output file. You can enter the output file name for the report file into the accompanying text box, or browse for a file name using the associated browse button

Zip file: Select this option to have all the reports for your selected crudes packaged as individual report files in a single compressed archive. You can enter the output file name for the archive into the accompanying text box, or browse for a file name using the associated browse button

Multiple Files: Select this option to have all the reports for your selected crudes output as individual files in a folder. You can select the folder in which the report files are to reside by entering the folder name directly into the accompanying text box, or by browsing for the folder using the associated browse button
. Select the Overwrite existing files check box to have any existing files with names identical to the generated report
files overwritten by the latter.
Export name template
You can uniquely determine the name of the file or files being exported using the Export Name Template field. This field acts as a file name template that is subsequently instantiated to create a file name whenever one of your selected crudes is exported. In each instantiation of the template, any recognised keywords (such as Name or Reference) appearing in the name will be replaced by the corresponding information specific to the crude. The keywords recognised by Assay are the following:

Recognised keywords can either be entered directly in the Export Name Template field in the form [!Keyword] (for example, [!Name]) or added by clicking the Fields button to the right-hand side of the edit box. The static text underneath the edit box will update as the template is changed to give you an idea of what the final file name might be for a given report. Note that the file name extension is added automatically, as it depends on the chosen report type, and should not be entered into the edit box. If an invalid character is added to the template, the edit box will underline all the text in red and the Export button will be disabled.
