Managing Licenses

To update or manage licenses in Assay, click the menu button to the left of the Home tab, in the top left corner of the application window, and choose Manage Licences from the menu. This opens the Installed Licences dialog which shows the current licences for AVEVA tools on your computer.

For each licence, the Manage Licences dialog displays the product, licensee, the licence expiry date, the licence key itself, and the current status of the licence keys. The status of valid licences is set to OK, while expired licences are denoted Expired. The expiry date of expired licences is also displayed in red.

Several buttons in the licence dialog allow managing of the licences:

• Add: Adds a new licence for other AVEVA products, or optionally licensable extensions to Assay; click to open the Licence Wizard where licence details can be entered manually or pasted from a licensing email.

• Edit: Edits an existing licence for a AVEVA product or extension, allowing the expiry date and licence key to be updated.

• Remove: Deletes the licence for the AVEVA product or extension; it will not be possible to use this product or extension without adding a new valid licence.

• Mail: Allows a mail request for an updated licence to be sent to AVEVA.
