Configure your properties

The product is distributed with a set of industry standard properties. Properties within the product are defined as physical properties of a crude or product that can be measured without changing the chemical composition of the substance. Examples of properties include density, D86 distillation and aromatics content. The complete set of these properties can be found in the Appendix. See Properties.

Properties are used in three distinct contexts in the product:

1. To define cut values. For example, when configuring the database view to show different columns.

2. For graphing property profiles. For example, when fitting crudes using the AssayEditor. See AssayEditor.

3. For entering values in the measurement grid in the generation modules. For example, when entering a new assay.
