Navigator Pane Document pages. A list of items for each document such as Information, Measurements etc.

Each document is made of several different pages. The different pages in the document are displayed in the Navigator and can be opened by clicking on their name. The different pages available in a document are the following:

  • The Information page Icon Information. Shows a bold lower-case letter "i" and the word "Information" lists a number of properties associated with the oil currently being worked on. Common reference properties include name, origin and assay date.

  • The Streams page Icon Streams. Shows a graph with a line colored blue/red/blue and the word "Streams" lists the streams configured for this document. Streams can represent actual product streams, or theoretical cuts.. See Streams page.

  • The Flowsheet page Icon Flowsheet. Shows a distillation unit and the word "Flowsheet" summarises the flowsheet information attached to this document.

  • The Basis page Icon Basis. Shows a Y-axis and a black plus sign, with the word "Basis" is used as a starting point for predictive calculations when performing an AssayUpdate.

  • The Product page Icon Product. Shows a tilted oil drum with a blue arrow pointing to it, and then the word "Product" is used in a ProductSynthesis document to define the distillation profile of the product being worked up.

  • The Diagnostics page Icon Diagnostics. Shows a stethoscope with the word "Diagnostics" next to it gives you diagnostic information.

  • The Changes page Icon Changes. Shows a green notebook with the word "Changes" next to it lists the edits which have been made to the document. The type of change which has been made is shown, along with the user who made the change and the time and description of the change.See Monitor changes to assays.

  • The Blending page Icon Blending. Shows two lab beakers, one with red contents and one with blue contents, both being poured into a common pool, with the word "Blending" next to it. lets you define the assays used during Blend and BlendAnalysis. See Blend and BlendAnalysis.

  • The Constraints page Icon Constraints. Shows a graph with a red line with blue range markers on it, and the word "Constraints" next to it lets you set limits and guides for use in the predictive calculations.

  • The IR page Icon IR. Shows a graph with a red line and the letters "IR" next to it. is used to import infrared crude spectra. You can then use the data in the spectrum to generate an updated assay. See Infrared (IR) spectrum page and Updating an Assay with an IR Spectrum in AssayUpdate (old?)

  • The Output Grid page Icon Output Grid. Shows a spreadsheet with a magnifying glass, and the words "Output Grid" next to it. shows all the data you have entered in a single location. It is possible to enter data in several different measurement grids which helps organise your data. The Output Grid presents all this data on a single page for easy review. However data is not editable in the Output Grid.

  • Grids (Icon General grid. Shows a spreadsheet with the word "General" next to it, Icon Distillation Grid by percentage. Shows a spreadsheet with the words "Distiallation (by % off)" next to it, Icon Distillation by boiling point. Shows a spreadsheet with the words "Distillation (by boiling point)" next to it, Icon GC. Gas Chromatography. Shows a grid with the letters "GC" next to it.) enable you to enter assay measurement data into Assay. See Output grid.
