Adding and editing variables

When you add or edit a variable, the Variable Editor dialog box opens. Follow these steps to configure a variable:
-
Choose a Symbol for the variable, which you will use to represent the variable in the formula. Symbols must be unique.
-
Choose the Property whose value will be stored in the variable.
-
Choose the Cut for which to report the property. How you do this depends on the option you chose when adding the property, either Cut Value or Flowsheet Cut Value:
-
If you chose Cut Value, select one of the predefined perfect cuts, or define a Custom cut and enter its lower and upper temperature limits.
-
If you chose Flowsheet Cut Value, choose a flowsheet from the left-hand drop-down list, then choose a cut from the right-hand drop-down list. The flowsheet listed are those available in the Flowsheet Manager. See Create a flowsheet.
