Dialog Planning Template, Light Ends tab

Light end cuts are defined by final boiling points which encompass the components C1-C5. You may choose which light end components (up to C5) are included in the output PIMS report generated from your template by selecting the relevant light end cut from the Last enabled light end cut combo box. By default the last enabled light end cut is set to NC5-C05:n-pentane. Light ends that are active within the template are indicated by a tick Icon Active. Shows a red checkmark.

The names and cut points of the light end cuts are predefined for any Planning Tool Report template, but can be modified if you wish. Clicking on any white cell in a cut row allows you to type a new value into it. When configuring a cut, any invalid values are shown in red, and will need to be corrected before you can continue through the wizard. Duplicate tag names are not valid.

To change the temperature unit of the cut points specified, double click on the Boiling Point column header. Choose between C, F, K and R from the temperature unit drop down box. When asked if you like to convert the entered values to the new unit, click Yes to convert your entered vapour temperatures to your new temperature unit, or No to leave them as is.

Context menu

A right-click context menu is available to manage the list of light end cuts. The context menu offers the following options:

  • Cut, Copy and Paste: Cut, copy and paste the selected rows respectively.

  • Reset Column Widths: Reset the widths of the columns in the list of cuts to their default widths.

When you have configured the light end cuts to be present in your Planning Tool Report template, use the tabs at the top of the Editor to move to the next part.
