Target Specification > Reference Targets. Shows Reference Targets with Add Traded Crude button highlighted

The numerical value for the constraint is called Default because it is applied to any assay that is recut using the flowsheet. You can however specify different constraint values for traded crudes or individual assays. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Reference Targets button. The Reference Targets window opens.

  2. Click either Add Assay or Add Traded Crude. A selection window opens, allowing you to add one or more assays or traded crudes, respectively.

  3. When you have finished adding assays and traded crudes, click OK. The Reference Targets window closes, and new columns are added to the table, in the Target Specification window, one for each assay or traded crude.

You can now type values under each new column to define new constraint values for each assay and traded crude. These values override the one in the Default column.

For each assay or traded crude you have added, you are free to enter override values for some properties but not for others. If an override cell is left blank, the value in the Default cell will still be used.
