Having chosen the cuts and properties you wish to be available in the output PIMS file, the property/cut combinations to be output need to be selected. By default, the product intelligently configures the range of properties and cuts to be output. If a measurement is valid for a cut type, Assay will set the corresponding output to active; otherwise, Assay will set the output to disabled.
Although Assay intelligently configures the cut/property combinations to be output, you can explicitly configure these if you wish by managing the behaviour of the tristate check boxes using either the matrix toolbar located at the bottom of the output matrix, by configuring individual property and stream combinations, or by using the right-click context menu. The action of the tristate check boxes and the facilities for managing them are both described below.
Tristate check boxes
The tristate check boxes allow the following three options:
-
Show: The checked item will be present in any output PIMS report generated using
the template.
-
Comment: The starred item will be present in any output PIMS report generated using
the template, but the line will be commented out by using a convention of placing
an asterisk (*) character in front of the row name.
-
Hide: The cleared item will not be present in any output PIMS report generated using
the template.
