Dialog Generation module options. The Enable additional model-independent generation checkbox can be found in Assay preferences

When using the generation modules, the following options are available:

  • Maximum number of Undo Operations: Set the maximum number of previous actions that can be undone using the Undo buttons in the Quick Access Toolbar.

  • Enable saving of Auto-Recovery files: Enable or disable the auto-recovery of generation module data should you accidentally lose any work you have in a measurement grid. See Auto-recovery.

  • Use Blend Columns from Document: If this option is selected, the columns and view in Blend and BlendAnalysis documents are stored when saved. If the option is not selected, the columns and view in Blend and BlendAnalysis documents are shared across all open Blend and BlendAnalysis documents.

  • Generate in Background: Select this option to generate assays in the background of the application, allowing you to continue working with other assays or in the Database.

  • Prompt to Generate if necessary before saving: If the document has not been generated, when attempting to save a warning dialog will appear.

  • Enable additional model-independent generation: Allows those properties which are not included in the Assay statistical model to have profile curves and distributions generated if assay data is included in the measurement grid. See Generated profiles for model-independent properties.

  • Use original measurement units on output grid: When this option is selected, the output grid displays measurements in the units in which they were entered in the measurement grid. If the option is not selected, the values are converted to the default property unit in Assay. For example, density could be entered in the kg/m3in the measurement grid. When the option is not selected, the density would be converted to the default density unit of measure, g/cc. See Output grid.

  • Prefix Components with Carbon number and PIONA type: When this option is selected, component names are prefixed with their Carbon number and PIONA type.
