Data sets

Opening the Filter menu allows access to your saved filters and sets. At the bottom of the menu the available Data Sets are listed.

Assays in the Assay Database are grouped into Data Sets. Each different data set represents a number of assays from a common source. By default Assay shows all the assays present in all the data sets. Clearing the check box next to a data set's name temporarily removes the data set from the Database. When a data set is not present in the Database, the assays within it cannot be viewed and will not be included in filtering.

The data sets available in Assay depend on your licensed configuration. A number of assay libraries from third parties can be licensed alongside Assay. These global assay libraries are split into different regions, with each region represented by a single data set.

Two data sets are present in all Assay configurations:

• Spiral HPI: standard library of 244 historical assays.

• User Database: assays created and saved in other Assay modules.
