Planning tool reports

Assay produces files which can be used in third-party planning tools. These files are generally known as assay tables and contain a description of one or more crudes specified by a number of cuts and their property values.

A planning tool report is produced in the product according to a template. To produce a report, you typically do the following:

1. Configure a template to some desired set of output specifications. A sample template is shipped with your version of the product. See Manage templates.

2. Select one or more crudes from the database.

3. Do either of the following:

   • Click the Planning button in the Reports group of the Integration tab, then choose a report from the list.

   • Right-click on the selected crudes and choose View Report > Planning Templates from the context menu, then choose a report from the list

4. The report is generated. Click Close to close the generation dialog and display the report in a new window.
