The Properties tab allows you to choose which properties will be present in the generated planning tool report. Three properties are usually present in all planning tool report assay tables and these are inserted by default. Normally the yield of cut (either in weight or volume units), the FVT of the cut and the specific gravity of the cut must be included, but these may be deleted by selecting the property's row and pressing the Delete key.
To add a new property, double click anywhere in the row below the current list of items. A new property will appear, which you can then edit. The columns in the grid are described in the following table:
|
Field |
Description |
|---|---|
|
Active |
To enable a property in the report, select the check box next to the property's name. |
|
PF |
Select a format code from the drop down menu, or type your own format code in the field. Common format codes include I, P, G, E or L. For the meaning of these codes consult your planning tool documentation. |
|
Tag |
The code for the property, which will appear in any output report generated using the template. Tags are usually three letters long but may be longer if this option is enabled in your planning tool. |
|
Name |
A descriptive name for the property up to twenty characters. |
|
Property |
The property itself, which may be selected using a property control. |
|
Unit |
The measurement unit you would like this property value to be reported in. By default, the unit for a property is automatically set when the property is selected using the property control. |
Double clicking on any empty cell in a property row allows you to type a new value into it. Repeated tags for properties are not recommended. Any repeated tags is underlined in red and a warning is shown in the details area at the bottom of the window. Errors and warnings should be corrected before proceeding through the Template Editor.
WBAL and VBAL rows
The yield property is special within PIMS. This property, which may be either in volume or weight units, must have the Format Code V or W respectively. If you choose yield from the Property Control for the property in a cell, the Format Code will automatically be set to W or V appropriately. When a cut is of a deferred type the yield property automatically has a type of DBAL to indicate the cut is deferred.
Context menu
A right-click context menu is available to manage the list of properties. The context menu offers the following options:
-
Cut, Copy and Paste: Cut, copy and paste the selected rows respectively.
-
Insert New Row, Delete Selected Rows, and Clear Selected Rows: Add a new row above the selected row, delete the selected rows and clear the contents of the selected rows respectively.
-
Compact Rows: Delete any empty rows between filled rows.
-
Reset Column Widths: Reset the widths of the columns in the list of properties to their default widths.
When you have completed this page use the tabs at the top of the Editor to move to the next section.
