Assay allows you to import views from other users allowing you to share workflows.
To import a set of custom views click the import
button on the Views toolbar. Use the File Browse dialog to browse to the location of the file containing the view.

To import views:
-
select the view(s) to import
-
click the Transfer button
-
correct any naming problems
-
click Import to import the views.
The Import Views dialog allows you to select the saved views for import. The Importable Views list shows the views saved in the file, and the Existing Views list shows the current local views registered in Assay.
To import a view, select its name in the Importable Views list and click the Transfer button. Imported views are shown in the Existing Views list shaded in blue.
If the view selected for import has the same name as a local view, a dialog allows you to rename the new view. Each view must have a unique name.
If the view selected for import is the same as a local view (that is has the same cuts and properties etc.) then a dialog allows you to either Re-import the view as a new view with a new name, or Overwrite the existing view or Cancel the import process.
Existing views can be renamed by selecting them in the list and clicking the Rename button. In the dialog enter a new unique name for the view. Existing views can also be removed by selecting their name in the list and clicking the Delete button.
Views are actually not imported until the Import button is clicked. A dialog shows if the import process is successful. If you wish to return to the original list of views before any changes have been made click the Reset button.
