By publishing a crude you add it to your data share, allowing users throughout your organisation to access it. Other users will be able to use the new crude after they update their data shares using CrudeSync.

You can only publish to a data share to which you have the correct access privileges. To find out more about your access privileges or to change them, please contact your local administrator for AVEVA products.

Access to a data share is usually over an AVEVA Connect connection. Each AVEVA Connect session lasts for a limited period of time, so if you leave the connection open for an extended period, you will need to sign in again. You will be prompted to sign in if necessary.

To publish a crude or crudes, select them in the database module and then click Publish Crude in the CrudeSync Editing group of the Enterprise ribbon tab, or select CrudeSync > Publish Crude from the database view's context menu.

Dialog CrudeSync with button labelled Publish

Select the required data share in the Target Share combo box and click Publish. You can provide a comment about the crude if required. If the Remove crude from source database after publishing check box is selected, after the crude is successfully published it will be removed from your personal database preventing duplicate entries.

Note: When using the shortcut key Ctrl+S or the icon Icon Save. Displays a floppy disc with a yellow cylinder on it. to save a file, the CrudeSync publishing dialog is automatically opened. If you wish to save the assay to the local user database, click the lower half of the Save button in the Document group of the Home ribbon tab and choose Save to User Database from the menu.
