The .agf file format is a proprietary, compact file format for crude data transfer between sessions of Assay and related AVEVA crude data processing tools. It holds only measurement and associated data for one or more crudes.

AGF file import is supported from legacy versions of Assay. To export and share assay data the .cif format should be used. See Crude interchange file import.

Selecting AGF File launches the Import dialog box from where you can browse for an importable .agf file. From the Microsoft® Windows® operating system desktop, double-clicking on an .agf file launches AVEVA™ Assay and imports the file into the appropriate generation module in AVEVA™ Assay.
