Filter by predefined filter

You can quickly filter the crudes in your selected data sets using predefined filters. To filter by predefined filter, select an entry from the Filter drop down list. The special entry All crudes is located at the top of the list. Selecting All crudes will display all the crudes in your selected crude sets. This has the effect of clearing any previously applied filter.

The other filters in the list are organised into folders. Four folders may be found in the list:

  • Sets of Crudes: This folder holds Sets that you have configured using the Set Manager. Selecting an entry in the Sets folder will limit the database view to consist only of the crudes which form part of the chosen Set. See Create sets of crudes.

  • System Filters: This folder contains a range of filters predefined in your edition of Assay. Amongst other installation-specific filters available, you can limit the display to show only recommended crudes and only user crudes.

  • Recent Quick Filters: This folder contains quick filters that have recently been applied in the Database. The list of recent quick filters includes quick filters created by filtering the Scatter Graph by selection, in addition to quick filters created by filtering by crude name. See Filter by a selection.

  • User defined Filters: This folder contains custom filters you have previously created or imported via the Configure Filters dialog. You can launch the Configure Filters dialog to configure a new custom filter by pressing the Configure Filters button Icon configure filters showing funnel with pencil in the Filter combo box. See Filter crudes.
