Add guide points

To add guide points, enable guide point addition by pressing in the graph toolbar. Moving over the graph will show you the Select Point cursor, . Clicking anywhere on the graph will add a guide point at that point, and the displayed profile will be refitted accordingly.

Alternatively, ensuring that the graph information dialog is visible by pressing the button on the graph toolbar, enter a new value in the guide point grid section by typing values for the X-axis value (the boiling point) and the Y-axis value (the property value).

You can additionally set the precision of the guide point, which controls the tightness with which that guide point value should be matched by the curve fitting algorithm. The precision setting is indicated on the graph by vertical bars on the guide points. Note that if the precision is sufficiently small, the vertical bars will be hidden within the size of the guide point icon.
