Measurements Grid. The measurement grids enable you to enter assay measurements

The Grids pages are used to enter measurement values into the measurement grids (Entering Data). There are several different types of measurement grid:

  • Icon General grid. Shows a spreadsheet with the word "General" next to it pages accept any type of assay data including property measurements, distillation data and components.

  • Icon Distillation Grid by percentage. Shows a spreadsheet with the words "Distiallation (by % off)" next to it pages let you enter any distillation data you may have from distillation methods such as D86, Simdis or True boiling point.

  • Icon Distillation by boiling point. Shows a spreadsheet with the words "Distillation (by boiling point)" next to it pages let you enter distillation data using the boiling point data from such methods as D1160 and Simdis.

  • Icon GC. Gas Chromatography. Shows a grid with the letters "GC" next to it. pages allow you to enter any data you may have on individual components from such methods as gas chromatography.

  • Icon Compatibility (gravimetric). Shows a grid with the words "Compatibility (gravimetric)" next to it pages allow you to enter compatibility data for non-waxy crudes.

  • Icon Compatibility (UV). Shows spreadsheet with the words "Compatibility (UV)" next to it. pages allow you to enter compatibility data for waxy crudes.

Measurement grids are spreadsheet-like tables which allow you to enter assay data for any property associated with a crude oil or one of its fractions. You can type values into the cells of the measurement grid, or you can paste values from other applications. See Enter data.
