Crude interchange file import

The .cif file format allows rich crude data to be exchanged between organisations. The standard Assay file format, .cdb, can only be exported and used within a single organisation. .cif files remove this restriction allowing a user to export complete data generated in Assay and share it with another Assay user in a different organisation. When exporting or importing .cif data users must agree that they have the relevant authority to share the crude data.
Selecting Crude Interchange File will launch the Import dialog box from where you can browse for an importable .cif file. From the Microsoft® Windows® operating system desktop, double-clicking on a .cif file will launch Assay and import the file into the Database.
