Template information

The template editor provides information about the validity of your template. If there are any problems with the design you will receive a message alerting you to the problem entry. If necessary click on Show Details to see details of the problem and receive suggestions of how to correct the mistake. The types of information the template editor can display are:

Template information. Shows a valid template

Icon shows a green checkmark and the words "Template is valid" Valid - your template is OK and will produce valid reports.

Template information. Shows an invalid template with error messages explaining the problems

Icon shows a yellow warning triange and the words "Template is valid but has 2 warnings" in this example Warning - there is a problem with your template but you may still be able to use the template to produce reports.

Template information. Shows a valid template with warnings which explain what needs to be addressed

Error - the template has a mistake and you will not be able to produce a report using it. You must correct the mistake before you can use the template.
