Petro-SIM XML report

The Petro-SIM XML report formats recuts crude data for use in the simulation package Petro-SIM produced by KBC. The XML file produced can be directly imported for use in the simulation environment. The file contains recut property data for a number of cuts required by PetroSIM. The cut points of these fractions, and the output properties, can not be changed.

To generate a Petro-SIM XML report, select Petro-SIM XML from a Reports type list. The Petro-SIM XML option will not be available if multiple crudes are selected in the database.

Note: You can only generate a Petro-SIM XML report for one crude in the database at a time.

When a Petro-SIM XML report is generated, it opens in a new Assay window. From here you may either view the report on-screen, save it to a file, or print the report as hard copy. See Save reports.

Two types of Petro-SIM report are available. The detailed report contains narrower cuts across the naphtha fraction allowing more detailed characterisation of this area of the crude.
