Make changes to Movement events

You can makes changes to a selected movement event using the Event Editor.

A Movement event can be one of three types:

  • Material event - A movement event record that is either Automatic or Manual. A manual record is generated through the Material Movement Wizard.

  • Balance adjustment - A balance adjustment record generated through the Balance Adjustment Wizard or through web services.

  • Survey adjustment - A survey adjustment record generated through the SubmitData method, the Service Bus, or the Event editor.

To delete a movement event record

You can delete a movement record either from the results grid or in the Event Editor when the Movement Events view is selected.

  1. On the Module Selection pane, select the Movement Events view.

  2. Select the work center in the project hierarchy to which you want to delete a movement event record.

  3. Do either of the following:

    • On the results grid, right click a record and select Delete, or

    • On the results grid, select a record and open the Event Editor. Under the Deleted section, select True and then Save to mark the current record for deletion when you run Reprocess.
      To restore a deleted record and update other impacted records when you run Reprocess, select False.

Things to take note of when deleting a movement event record:

  • When you delete a movement event, the impact is not evident until you reprocess the records.

  • When you delete a record, it is registered as a pending change in the task panel of the Event Editor.

  • You cannot delete a finalized movement event.

To make a change to a movement event record

  1. Select a record in the results grid of the Movement Events view in the Inventory module.

  2. Open the Event editor.

  3. Edit the values that you want to change or correct. Depending on whether the selected record is a movement record or an adjustment record, different fields may be available to edit.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Select another record in the grid to change if required, and repeat as many times as necessary.

  6. When you are ready to submit changes, click Reprocess.
