Store diagnostic log files

Running diagnostics creates a lot of log files. For this reason, manage the location and storage for the log files. We recommend that you create a directory specifically for this purpose; for example: DiagnosticsLogs
Compress this directory location to minimize the amount of space that it requires on the hard disk.
Compress the directory

In File Explorer, right-click the directory and click Properties.

On the General tab, click Advanced.

Under Compress or Encrypt attributes, select Compress contents to save disk space.

After compression, the folder and its subdirectories appear blue in color.
