As phase one of Conformance to Plan, we have completed functionality for Match Movements to Plan.

Match Movements to Plan makes a comparison between the plans for material movements and the results of actual material movements. Material movements are a component of Inventory.

In the process of planning Inventory operations, it is often necessary to plan the requirements for consumption and production of materials within the production process to make sure that upstream processes are able to produce enough materials.

Match Movements to Plan is based on these components:

Matching criteria

The matching criteria item facilitates the matching of movements to plans. You can add filters to the matching criteria item to search for an existing plan that matches the movement being processed.

Material requirements

A material requirement is a requirement for an amount of material to be consumed or produced at a certain location.

In the process of planning Inventory operations, it is often necessary to plan the requirements for consumption and production of materials within the production process to make sure that upstream processes are able to produce enough materials.

You can use the SubmitData web service method to insert or update material requirement data.
