Add and configure a Calculated Inventory field

The Calculated Inventory field under the Calculated Inventory Fields folder represents the material quantity after calculation.

A Calculated Inventory field is an alternate quantity value defined by an expression that performs some calculation to the standard quantity field. For example, quantity multiplied by moisture percentage to calculate dry quantity

Calculated Inventory fields can be used as an alternative quantity to the quantity standard field in weighted average grade calculations on a Calculated Quality reporting point and can reference a special quality field called a Calculated Inventory source field in their expression.

Note: When configuring a new Calculated Inventory field – if finalized data exists, the starting balance for a field in a lot group will be the lot group balance. The lot group balance is determined by adding together the values of lots within the lot group that have an associated material quality.

To add a Calculated Inventory field

  1. Right-click the Calculated Inventory Fields folder, and click Add Calculated Inventory Field. A new Calculated Inventory source field appears.

  2. Rename the source field with a meaningful name.

  3. Configure the field properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Calculated Inventory field properties.
