AVEVA™ Production Management

About Production

  • Last UpdatedMar 18, 2025
  • 1 minute read

AVEVA™ Production Management collects quantitative information and tracks production inputs and outputs. This information includes both targets and actuals for items, including:

  • Input (Raw Materials, Additives)

  • Consumables (Energy, Water)

  • Waste (Excess materials, Byproducts)

  • Output (Unchecked Product)

  • Reject Product

  • Final Product

When this information is collected an accurate picture of current production is generated. Plant and production managers can see the entire dynamics of material flow in their facility.

A diagram showing production inputs and outputs starting from manufacturing until the finishing process. Other factors that affect this process include consumables, waste, source, reject, and products.

How does AVEVA Production Management calculate production rates?

AVEVA™ Production Management calculates production using the following elements.

Production reporting points

The Production reporting point is the main element for capturing Production data.

Capture conditions

A capture condition defines the condition that occurs to initiate a data capture. You can base a condition on period definitions;for example, per Day or per Shift, or on time events; for example, every 15 minutes, or every week.

Fields

A Production field defines what data to record. The properties of a field establish criteria such as the type of product (for example, Input, Consumable), whether the data value is a quantity, and whether to accumulate the quantity.
