Add and configure an OPC HDA data source

The OpcHdaDataSource item establishes that the connection is to an OPC HDA-compliant system.

Guidelines

• You can add the data source to any applications folder or group them in an ApplicationFolder.

• A project can contain multiple OPC HDA data sources.

To add an OPC HDA data source

1. In the Project Explorer right-click System Configuration, point to Add Item, point to Standard Items, and then click Applications Folder. An ApplicationsFolder item appears.

2. Rename the folder with a meaningful name.

3. Right-click the folder, point to Add Item, point to Connectors, and then click OPC HDA. An OpcHdaDataSource item appears.

   

4. Rename the item with a meaningful name.
