When you have a rate structure configured and applied to a site, the Tariff Rates feature becomes available in AVEVA Production Management. This feature enables you to configure the time periods and rate costs that are associated with different tariffs. You can specify a date that tariff rates become active and for how long they recur.
Set the time periods as they fall within one 24-hour day.
Example: Peak and Off-Peak Tariff Rates

To add a tariff rate
-
Click Tariff Rates
on the toolbar. The Tariffs interface appears.

-
Next to Site, select the site from the drop-down menu to which these tariff rates apply.
-
Click the Add Tariff Rate (+) sign to add a tariff rate. The Add Tariff Rate dialog box appears.
On the Details tab, under Tariff, select the tariff (previously created in Studio) for which you want to define the time periods and rate, such as Peak and Off Peak.

-
Under Active From, choose the date that this tariff rate becomes active, for example 1 January 2016.
-
Specify the Start Time and the End Time of this tariff period. You can type text directly into these fields in one-minute increments, or you can choose from the drop-down list of half-hour increments. Check that your tariffs together cover the entire 24-hours in the day. These tariffs are in effect 7 days a week until they are replaced by different tariff rate records that contain a later date.
-
Next to Rate, enter the rate at which the energy use is charged. Usually, this is a monetary value per hour. For example, 0.10 is 10 cents an hour.
-
If you want to make some changes to the original set of tariff rates you made, you can create future-dated duplicates. On the Duplication tab, specify when these tariff rates occur and what the end date is. The range of duplicate entries appears in the Tariff Rate interface.

-
Select OK.
