The following is a high-level process diagram of a Coal supply chain. It shows how material flows from the mines and is shipped to customers. There are three primary sites. Mine A, Mine B, (both include their CHPPs) and the Port.

At a more detailed level, feed is delivered to the ROM by trucks and is fed into ROM Bins at each CHPP. The CHPP converts feed into Product and places it onto stockpiles. Product is moved from the stockpiles into a Train Loadout Bin and then loaded onto trains. The Trains are unloaded onto a stockpile, which is then loaded onto a vessel. A customer has requested to know the Ramp/Strip/Block details of the product that was loaded onto vessel VES456-20100405. The user would launch the Genealogy Wizard, and specify a starting filter of Vessel = VES456-20100405, to find related lots that meet a final filter of Location is Mine A or Mine B.
