A specification limit defines the lower and upper limits of an acceptable range for data. A specification limit defines a single range.

Note: The Data Type of a specification limit item on a product field specification is defined as a Numeric data type and matches the data type of the parent field.
How it looks in the data grid
A blue arrow symbol appears in data cells in the Production Analyst results grid to inform operators when data is of outside of specification limits.

Guidelines
-
You can add only one specification limit item to a product field specification.
-
If a product field specification contains a Specification limit, you can still add a Threshold range, but not a Threshold value.
Add a specification limit
-
Right-click the relevant product field specification and select Add SpecificationLimits. A new Specification limit item appears.

-
Rename the item with a meaningful name.
-
Configure the specification limit properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Product specification limit properties.
