AVEVA™ Production Management

Add and configure a cycle definition

  • Last UpdatedApr 07, 2025

A cycle definition defines an operating cycle for a piece of equipment; for example, operating and cleaning. You can use cycle manager to associate cycles and their stages of a process so that AVEVA™ Production Management can create downtime events for stages when the equipment is down.

To add a cycle definition

You can add a cycle manager to any Applications folder or to an equipment template.

  1. In Studio, right-click an Applications folder, point to Add Item, point to Cycle Manager, point to Cycle Definition. A new cycle definition appears.
