Connect an HTML page to the server

When your HTML page is ready, the final step is to connect it to the server.

To connect HTML page to the server

1. Save your HTML file to a location that the IIS Server can access.

2. Verify that you have correctly set up the IIS Server.

3. Verify that you have correctly set the dashboard properties, as described in Add and configure a Metrics dashboard item, to point to the IIS Server and the URL pathname of the HTML page.

4. Save and restart your project.

5. Restart your client software to verify that your Metrics dashboard works correctly.

The dashboard controls do not initially display data until the following conditions are met:

• The relevant modules have gathered data.

• At least one time period is complete, unless current is selected for RequestPeriodType in your HTML code.

• The StoreDelayPeriod is expired; if Delayed is selected for the StoreWhen property on your Metrics folder.
