Shared Favorites before and after upgrade

Shared Favorites will remain available after upgrade, though some work might be needed to ensure Favorites are shared with the correct people based on Active Directory (AD) group membership after the upgrade.

• Where Shared Favorites are already shared at the Group level, these will be preserved.

• Integrated users will see Favorites shared with the set of AD groups they are a member of, instead of seeing a set of Favorites shared with them specifically.

To minimize the impact of this change, we recommend the following actions

• Before upgrading, ensure all Shared Favorites are mapped correctly at the Group level, and that AD users are configured as members of the correct set of groups in AD.

• After upgrade, reshare any Shared Favorite folders that are missing for specific users to the appropriate groups to which the user belongs.
