Selective lot behavior

An equipment item with a lot behavior of Selective has the following characteristics:

• The equipment item tracks lots.

• A material movement from the equipment is lot-based. That is, you first specify which lot to move, and then you can specify to move a quantity of the lot. If you specify a quantity, specify a quantity greater than zero. If you specify a quantity that is less than the total quantity of the lot, AVEVA™ Production Management splits the lot, and then moves only the quantity that you specify. If you specify the exact quantity that the lot contains, AVEVA™ Production Management moves the entire lot. Do not specify a quantity that is greater than the quantity of the lot.

• The removal of lots from the equipment is selection-based. That is, lots are removed in the order in which they are selected, which can be any order.
