About the Inventory configuration item

The Inventory configuration item appears under the System Configuration folder in new AVEVA™ Production Management projects. It provides a location where you can configure system-wide settings for Inventory items, such as Lots, Lot Generators, Material Conversions, and Material Movements.
Standard Fields folder
The Inventory configuration item contains a Standard Fields folder to store the standard fields that appear throughout the Inventory module.

Contributor Set folder
The Inventory configuration item contains a default Contributor Set folder where you can add contribution types.

Enable Inventory Reprocessing permissions
A user requires permissions enabled on the Inventory configuration item to gain access to Advanced Inventory functions. See Enable Advanced Inventory permissions.
Calculated Inventory fields
The Inventory configuration item contains a Calculated Inventory Fields folder where you can add and define calculated inventory fields. The source fields become available to Material Quality reporting points.
