Add and configure a calculated variable

It is good practice to create calculated variables in a single Applications folder under the System Configuration folder. This makes it easier to edit and maintain calculated variables.

To create a calculated variables folder

1. Right-click the System Configuration folder, point to Add Item, then Standard Items, then select Applications Folder. A new Applications folder appears.

2. Rename the folder to Calculated Variables.

3. Right-click the Calculated Variables folder, point to Add Item, point to Variables, then click Calculated Variable. A new calculated variable item appears.

   

4. Rename the calculated variable. This is the name that refers to the calculated variable from elsewhere in the project.
