Add and configure a routine material movement

You can add and group material movements in one location in the project: the Material Movements folder. This keeps all material movements in a central place that makes it easier to organize and maintain them. AVEVA™ Production Management executes the material movement automatically according to defined capture conditions.

You can configure a routine movement between work units, as well as work centers.

A material movement item contains the configured details for an automatic movement of material from one location to another. It specifies details such as the source equipment, quantity to move, and the destination equipment.

To add an automatic material movement

1. Right-click the Material Movement folder, point to Add Item, point to Material Movements, and then click Material Movement. A new material movement item appears.

   

2. Rename the material movement with a meaningful name.
