Add and configure equipment classes

An equipment class enables you to categorize certain types of equipment as having shared properties. When you associate the class to a piece of equipment, that piece of equipment inherits the properties of the class.

You can add as many equipment classes to a project as you require.

Add an equipment class

1. In Studio, click the Class Explorer tab.

   

2. Right-click an existing equipment class and click Add EquipmentClassDefinition. A new equipment class definition appears.

3. Give the equipment class a meaningful name.
