Linking to external documents

Knowledge can link a plant area or product to any document on any network or server that AVEVA Production Management can access, including the Internet. You can use Knowledge to quickly find supporting documentation that is relevant to your area.

Example of documents you may link to your AVEVA Production Management project:

• Equipment manuals

• Schematics of machinery or circuitry

• Diagrams

• Process flowcharts

• Policies and Procedures

• Instructional videos

• Photos of equipment or plant areas

• Health and Safety requirements

With the relevant documentation at hand, you can avoid operational issues, troubleshoot problems quickly, and resolve issues of policy with reliable information.

Supported document file types

Knowledge can link to any browser-compatible document. Possible file types for Knowledge documents include, but are not confined to, the following:

• Portable Document Format (.pdf)
