Add and configure an equipment type

An Equipment type provides a convenient way to define cause codes, classifications, and effects mappings, known as relationship matrices, that are relevant to several locations.
Tip: It is good practice to create equipment types in a single Applications folder under the System Configuration folder. This makes it easier to edit and maintain equipment types.
To create an Equipment types folder

In Studio, under System Configuration, create an Applications folder and rename it to Equipment Types.
To add an Equipment type
You can add as many new equipment types as you require.

In Studio, right-click the Equipment Types folder, point to Add Item, then point to Standard Items, and then click Equipment Type. A new Equipment type appears.

Rename the equipment type with a meaningful name.
