Add and configure a lite view

A lite view is similar to the custom view item; however, it does not contain secondary tables. Usually, you use a lite view when you want to create a view of data that is filtered.

Configure Planning lite views

Planning lite views require that certain fields are defined in order for the Planning lite view to work correctly. Make sure the SourceData property on the Primary Table item contains these fields.

You can add a custom lite view to any Applications folder that contains reporting points.

To add a lite view

  1. In Studio, right-click an Applications folder, point to Add Item, then point to Standard Items, then select View. A new Lite view item appears.

  2. Rename the lite view with a meaningful name.

  3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Lite View properties.
