Copy and paste details of a Material Quality record

You can copy the details of a specific Material Quality record and paste the contents into a new record, if the required details are the same.

Note The Add Record permission is required to use this feature.

To copy and paste details of a Material Quality record

1. In the Results grid, select the record that you want to copy.

2. Right-click and select Copy, or press CTRL+C.

   

3. Select the recipient record, right-click and select Paste or press CTRL + V.

   The details for the original Material Quality record are copied across to the selected record.

   Note Only the fields where the Paste in Grid property is True will be pasted

   Tip: You can paste the contents into third-party software, such as Excel or Notepad.

Selective copy and paste

You can do a selective copy paste where you choose which fields in a row to copy.

To perform a selective copy paste

4. Alt-click the fields within a single row.

5. Right-click and click Copy, or press CTRL+C.

6. Select the recipient record, right-click and click Paste or press CTRL + V.

Note If you select a non-pastable field, the paste option will be disabled.

Fields that do not copy

Some fields are exempt from the Copy Paste operation.
