AVEVA™ Production Management

Formulate a rollback plan

  • Last UpdatedMar 28, 2022
  • 1 minute read

In the event that an upgrade does not go successfully, have a rollback plan in place.

Consider the following:

  • A rollback would occur only after migration of an upgraded project to the production environment.

  • Test your rollback plan in the test environment.

  • Define the set of circumstances that would initiate a rollback.

A rollback procedure involves:

  • Removing the new AVEVA Production Management version and restoring the old version.

  • Restoring the original AVEVA Production Management backup taken before the upgrade process.

  • Restoring the data repository that was taken immediately prior to building the new production environment.

  • Verifying that the rollback procedure is successful.
