Enable diagnostics logging to a file

Logging for web diagnostic integration is required only if the state database is in a remote location and the integration log is considered important.

When a remote state database is offline for some reason, the web diagnostic integration page stops working, and all logs inserted into the database between the time it goes offline and when it returns online are lost unless you log them to a file.

To enable diagnostics logging to file

  1. Open the Citect.Ampla.Workflow.ServiceHost.exe.config file in a notepad.

  2. Follow the commented instructions in the configuration file.

  3. Change the log destination to the log files' designated directory path.

For example: C:\Logs\diagnosticLogs.txt or \\<serverName>\Logs\diagnosticLogs.txt (remote location)
