Features and concepts

Real Downtime

Virtual Downtime

An overview topic of virtual Downtime.

Add Virtual Downtime through web services

You can submit virtual downtime record through web services.

Configure Downtime module settings

Configure project-wide settings for Downtime on the Downtime configuration item.

Downtime configuration item

Set up the Downtime configuration item. You will also need to define permissions.

Standard fields

Configure the standard fields for the Downtime module.

Event table

Configure the Downtime event table.

Configure the plant hierarchy

In addition to basic plant infrastructure, there are Downtime elements to configure that will record Downtime data.

Reporting points

The Downtime reporting point item is the main element for capturing Downtime data.

Capture conditions

A capture condition defines the condition that occurs to initiate a data capture. You can base a condition on period definitions; for example, per day or per shift, or on time events; for example, every 15 minutes, or every week.

Split conditions

A split condition defines the conditions when Downtime events are automatically split into two separate events.

Custom fields

A Downtime field defines what data to record. The properties of a field collect information such as location and duration of Downtime events.

Evaluated fields

A Downtime evaluated field enables you to combine the values of other fields.

Masks

A mask defines the condition when a Downtime event is a duplication of another Downtime event and therefore the data from one of the events is masked. The masked data does not contribute to overall data results.

Business rules

A business rule enables you to specify criteria to perform a validation process on data records.

Add quality specifications

Threshold ranges

A threshold range defines the boundaries of multiple limits for acceptable ranges for data.

Threshold values

A threshold value enables you to configure a Boolean value as a threshold.
