These are the supported architectures for deploying the AVEVA Production Management databases.
Scenario 1: Local database
All server-side components and all database components are hosted on a single 64-bit server, as shown in the Server Scenario 1 diagram.
Scenario 2: Remote database
Server components as well as the configuration and state databases are hosted on the server, while the data repository is hosted on a separate server since its size can become very large, so it is sometimes installed on its own SQL Server as shown in the Server Scenario 2 diagram.
Scenario 3: Remote database
Server components are hosted on the Server, while the data repository, configuration and state databases are hosted on a separate server. This is shown in the Server Scenario 3 diagram.
