About the OPC DA variables configuration tool

The OPC DA variables configuration tool is available from the right-click menu of an OPC DA data source in the Project Explorer. Depending on the filtering that you set in the OPC DA variables configuration tool, the tool displays a list that includes the following:

• OPC DA Variable items of the OPC DA Data Source item.

• OPC DA variables or data points on the OPC DA server that the OPC DA Connection item identifies.

  

You can use the OPC variables configuration tool to do the following:

• View variables that are in the project and mapped to variables on the OPC DA server.

• View variables that are in the project, but are not mapped to variables on the OPC DA server.

• View variables that are on the OPC DA server, but are not mapped to variables in the project.

• Import one or more variables from the OPC DA server into the project.

• Delete one or more variables from the project.
