Add and configure a Metrics reporting point

A Metrics reporting point stores the configuration for dashboards and KPI formulas. Before you add a Metrics reporting point, consider possible Reporting point locations.

Note: When you add a Metrics reporting point to your project, be sure to add it in the correct location of the hierarchy.

To add a Metrics reporting point

  1. In Studio, right-click a folder in the plant hierarchy, point to Add Item, point to Reporting Point, and then click Metrics. A new Metrics reporting point appears.

  2. Give the reporting point a meaningful name to identify it.

  3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Metrics reporting point properties.
