No upgrade from versions prior to AVEVA Production Management 7.3

AVEVA Production Management 8.0 does not allow upgrade from versions prior to AVEVA Production Management 7.3. Therefore, any earlier versions must be upgraded to 7.3 before upgrading to 8.0. See matrix for Upgrade paths.

Perform full reprocess when upgrading

When upgrading from AVEVA Production Management versions 7.1-7.3 to AVEVA Production Management 8.0, you need to perform a full reprocess to ensure no duplicate Material Quality records exist as a result of a partial reprocess.

Custom monitoring using Performance Counters

If you have set up custom monitoring using performance counters, you will need to reconfigure this after upgrading due to some performance counters being renamed.

LastModifiedBy for downtime and knowledge

If you have custom fields configured for Downtime or Knowledge with the name LastModifiedBy, you need to either rename or delete these fields prior to upgrading because they will conflict with new standard fields for Downtime and Knowledge.

Support for AVEVA™ Historian 2020

We have added support for AVEVA™ Historian 2020. If your project uses a AVEVA Connector, you will need to upgrade to AVEVA™ Historian SDK 2020.
